How to strengthen and soften facial features

How to strengthen and soften facial features

As you know, a smile is the best make-up there is. It illuminates your face as soon as you let your teeth show through a little.  Despite our most beautiful smile, the tense muscles of the face, often related to our lifestyle, facial expressions and daily stress, are more difficult to camouflage.
How to strengthen and soften facial features

Here are 3 exercises to do to look more relaxed and avoid a loss of elasticity in the facial muscles.

1. Reduce/unfasten crow's feet

Crow's feet wrinkles usually form on the outside of the eye.

Open your eyes wide (as if someone is taking you by surprise) and then close them tightly (like a scared child).

For this exercise and the following ones, hold for a few seconds and then repeat the sequence six to ten times.

2. Fight horizontal wrinkles in the forehead

These wrinkles, also known as frown lines, are located on the forehead.

Place your fingers on your forehead (fingers spread out, fingers perpendicular to the eyebrows).

By pressing lightly on your temple, or even by pressing on your forehead, raise your eyebrows and then release (like the movement you would make to pull your glasses up over your nose).

3. Attenuate the double chin

Double chin is often caused by excess fat under the skin (or water retention).

Smile lightly and then lift your head.

With your hand (palm down), apply a small amount of pressure to the skin at the base of the neck.

Pull your tongue out so that the jaw is close to your neck, then relax.

Repeat six to ten times.

Note that the best way to lose weight on your face is through regular physical activity. This will increase your chances of losing weight on your body and therefore on your face.

Make the above exercises even more effective by focusing on healthy lifestyle habits.

Make healthy food choices

Limit your sugar intake. Keep in mind that sweet foods can cause a swollen face. Also choose foods rich in fibre and water.

Reduce your salt intake

Pay attention to the amount of salt you eat, as salt causes bloating and water retention.

Eat calcium-rich foods

A higher intake of calcium will help reduce the fat stored in the body.

Stay hydrated!

Drinking enough water helps keep you physically and mentally fit, helps remove waste products from the body, and hydrates the body and skin. On the other hand, lack of water can cause bloating of the stomach and face, sometimes playing a role in the appearance of a double chin and swollen cheeks.

Get some sleep!

Sleep needs vary from person to person. Listen to your body and get more rest when you need it. Also, try to manage stress well to reduce the negative impact of stress on your body.

By doing the above exercises for five to ten minutes a few times a week and by adopting a good lifestyle, you will have firmer, more relaxed-looking skin.

Smile, eat well, and above all, incorporate as much physical activity into your daily routine as possible.

Now, let's get to work!
