How to stay active all your life?

How to stay active all your life?

Throughout life, the practice of sport has undeniable health benefits for everyone. Among them: building muscle, losing weight, surpassing oneself, managing stress better, relieving physical pain, there is necessarily a discipline that suits you, depending on your goals or your age… We bet?

From a scientific point of view, sport helps maintain good cardiovascular functioning, fight against cellular ageing and physical and mental fatigue. In short, it is good for your health, for your morale and for your life expectancy (between 3 and 9 years of gain depending on the studies is nothing!).

The practise of sport is not doomed to be synonymous with pain, exhaustion, cramps and failure ... even if it is sometimes the case, we concede it to you: you just have to find the discipline that suits you. It may not be the same activity throughout your life, the main thing is that you enjoy it and that it meets your goals! And if you are unsure of the discipline, here is what should enlighten you:

For the active
Before or after a hard day's work, you're going to need to let off steam. There is nothing like an immersive activity like the RPM Cinema for this: 30 minutes of intensive expenditure during which you will climb mountains and do sprints in front of a simulation screen.

You can also opt for the body attack. This class, combining athletic movements such as running, bending and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats, will allow you to exercise by alternating cardio work and strengthening work.
If you want a change of scenery after spending most of the day behind a computer, outdoor running may be for you. And to stay motivated, running in a group is unlike any other: discover our Run Out lessons without delay!

For future mothers
We explained to you in this article, it is quite possible, even recommended, to practice a sporting activity during pregnancy to limit weight gain and stay in shape for childbirth. Logically, impact sports are completely banned.
We favour gentle disciplines that promote well-being such as pilates or sophrology which are taught in our CMG Sports Club to stay muscled smoothly and improve breathing.

After pregnancy
Nine months of pregnancy have changed your body and maybe you want to sculpt your figure. Here again, we resume slowly: no question of indulging in the body attack a few weeks after the birth of your child.
Gentle activities like the bar on the floor or aqua fitness can tone your body and loosen your joints without straining them. You will also improve your posture, a useful little boost when carrying your baby (also valid for dads!).

For our seniors
Sport, you can start early and continue late! Seniors are in fact strongly advised to maintain a physical activity that works the joints and cardio gently. Disciplines such as hatha yoga or tai chi chuan are particularly recommended.
They make it possible to combine flexibility, meditation and relaxation. For muscle building, Body Balance can be very useful since it combines yoga postures and pilates.
