Tarte flambée with figs and squash

Revisit the traditional Alsatian tarte flambée with this tarte flambée with figs and squash! This is an autumn recipe that will delight the taste buds of your guests. In addition, it is original by its sweet, salty association, but also thanks to its pretty colors. Simple and quick to make, despite the rest time of the dough, you will not be disappointed!

Ingredients:

Flambéed dough (for 2 pies)

500 g flour

7 g of baker's yeast (or 11 g of dehydrated yeast)

25 cl of water

1/2 tsp salt coffee

30 g butter

Garnish

20 cl thick fresh cream

1 quarter squash

1 red onion

4 figs

Parsley

The steps:

1. In a container, place the flour.

2. Loosen the yeast in warm water and let it activate for a few minutes. Pour everything over the flour and start kneading for a few minutes. Then add the salt and butter, and knead until you get a homogeneous ball of dough.

3. Cover the container with a cloth and let stand at room temperature for about 1 hour (the dough should double in volume).

4. Preheat your oven to 210°C.

5. Then spread your dough quite thinly and then cover it with fresh cream.

6. Arrange the previously finely cut squash slices.

7. Rinse the figs and cut them into thin slices. Add them to the pie.

8. Slice the red onion and divide them according to the rest. Sprinkle with parsley and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

Enjoy your hot or warm squash and fig tarte flambée!
