A recipe for puff pastries with shrimp and fresh cheese (flight in the wind) or bite to the hyper gourmet queen, an idea for a festive aperitif for Christmas or New Year or Ramadan or for any other occasion, to present on the table as an aperitif dinner or during a salty buffet! Festive bites are simple and easy to make but so delicious!

These small aperitif bites are made with puff pastries that you prepare yourself or that you buy ready-made at our baker or in supermarkets in the bakery and pastry department. You can also find them in the frozen department, just cook them and garnish them according to your desire! For this gourmet recipe, I propose an alliance that has always been successful with my family, fresh garlic cheese and herbs, and shrimp.

An express recipe that can be prepared in no time without a headache, you can make them in advance and reserve them in the cool! Just take them out of the refrigerator 20 minutes before serving!

I proposed on the blog another recipe just as delicious, puff pastries that I topped with minced meat and mushrooms of Paris all linked with a creamy béchamel sauce with cheese. We can quite decorate them according to our desires, garnish them with chicken, smoked salmon or vegetables, etc. An easy, fast, and unbeatable recipe to impress your guests during the end of the year holidays!

Ingredients:

  • 12 mini laminated flights-to-the-wind or 6 large
  • 250 to 300 g of shelled shrimp
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 150 g of fresh cheese or garlic and herbs type Paysan Breton
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of fresh cream
  • 1 tablespoon chiseled chives
  • 1 teaspoon dried shallot (optional)
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Preparation:

  • In a frying pan, heat the butter and then add the grated garlic, cook lightly and then add the shelled shrimp. Cook for a few minutes on both sides then salt, pepper and add the chopped parsley and set aside in a bowl.
  • In a bowl, combine the fresh cheese, Parmesan cheese, crème Fraiche, shrimp cut into small pieces (leave a few for decoration) as well as finely chopped chives and dried shallots. Season with pepper from the mill ideally and a little salt because the shrimp and fresh cheese are already salted.
  • Preheat the oven to 180° C. Place the puff pastries in a baking dish. Bake for about 10 minutes to reheat them.
  • Let cool and garnish with the fresh cheese-shrimp stuffing. Continue the same operation until the ingredients are exhausted.
  • Garnish the wind flights with one or two shrimp.
  • Serve the puff pastries with fresh cheese and shrimp accompanied by a good salad or a velvety!
