Precautions for use and contraindications

If the artichoke is cooked, it is kept no more than 48 hours cool. Beyond that, it oxidizes rapidly and develops toxic compounds.

 Adverse side effects

A large part of its carbohydrates is represented by inulin (a reserve sugar) which gives it its characteristic little sweet taste. Inulin participates in the balance of the intestinal flora but consumed in excess, inulin can cause abdominal bloating.
